Waiver of Premium:
During a period of disability, your premiums may be waived (suspended). Check your contract to see if this provision applies for periods of total disability only, or if it also applies during partial disability.
Whole Life Insurance:
Life insurance that builds a cash value and that remains in force during the insured’s entire lifetime, provided premiums are paid as specified in the policy.
Will:
A written document conforming to strict provincial rules relating to form and signing. The purpose is to instruct the executors appointed under the will how the property of a deceased person should be distributed.
Wills Variation Act:
The provincial statute permitting a spouse, dependent child or others to obtain benefits from the estate of a deceased if not adequately provided for by the will.
